[lca2018-chat] The Tomu in your Welcome Pack

After flashing the tomu with the new dfu firmware it no longer
enumerates on the USB bus.  I see in dmesg:

[ 1690.821114] usb usb1-port3: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
[ 1691.789117] usb usb1-port3: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
[ 1691.789188] usb usb1-port3: attempt power cycle
[ 1693.073121] usb usb1-port3: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
[ 1694.041124] usb usb1-port3: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
[ 1694.041188] usb usb1-port3: unable to enumerate USB device

the green light flashes and the red light stays on.  

It looks as if rather than starting in the bootloader, the blinky app
is preloaded.
