[lca2018-chat] Co-working in Melbourne: advice wanted

Perhaps some Melbourne-based people can offer me some assistance:

I'm normally based in New Zealand, working freelance for various clients
almost exclusively over the Internet. I need to be in Australia, and
particularly Melbourne, a few more times this year, and some of those
are relatively close together so I'm considering staying in Melboure in
between some of those events and just "working a bit more remotely" than
usual (for most of what I do even the 2 hour time difference to NZ
clients probably doesn't matter, and might even help with "after work"
change windows; and some of my clients are in non-NZ timezones anyway).

Can anyone recommend friendly, convenient, nice to work in, co-working
spaces in Melbourne? Ideally either near north Melbourne, or in the
CBD/easily reached by tram from North Melbourne. Preferably with
reasonable Internet access, and either per-day or per-week rates (I know
some co-working spaces are per-month only, which wouldn't really work
for me at this stage).

Also if anyone has suggestions on good ways to find/book short stay
furnished apartments in Melbourne -- in the 1-3 week sort of range -- at
reasonable rates that'd be useful too. North Melbourne, perhaps nearish
to Fitzroy, would be ideal. But being based outside Australia I'm not
even sure what's the "go to" sites for short-stay/furnished apartments
in Australia....

Thanks for any suggestions,

Ewen

PS: Replies off list probably best, unless y'all think it's going to be
useful to others.
