Hi friends,

Our Tash is really into photography, and wants to acquire a Canon DSLR.
With their prices in AU, it's better to grab one in the US. Except many shops don't ship these kits internationally.

Anyhow, long story short... would any of you travelling from the US be able to carry in a camera to Sydney?
The whole kit is about 5kg in its original packaging, but you'll want to unpackage it and just have the camera in its shoulder case. The body and lenses and such should be carry-on, just to be safe.
The kit also includes a tripod which would go in checked luggage.

You'll just need to consider what airline you're flying and what their rules are on hand luggage.
If you're only carrying a laptop and some small bits, the camera generally shouldn't be a problem - but milage will very between airlines...

If you are able&willing to help, please contact me off-list.
Thanks!

Regards,
Arjen.
