Best to check with the conference organisers (I assume your recruiter
doesn't have a ticket to the conference).


I'm not one of the organisers, so this is not an official position, but: in
my opinion, if I were evaluating a work place and potential employer, I
would prefer to talk to someone who has a job similar to the one I'm
interested, rather than a recruiter. I.e., I would much rather talk to you
than someone in HR. Perhaps bring along some of your recruiter's business
cards if you think that is the best next step.
