That's a good idea. I've raised a feature request upstream at
https://github.com/chrisjrn/registrasion/issues/141

In the meantime, I've gone in and manually added a note.

We weren't aware of the sellout until your email. Symposion had
automatically stopped showing those items once they sold out.
